The Symphonic Orchestra, under Maestro Andrew Lane, is a pre-professional, conservatory level orchestra in which students are challenged with exceptionally difficult literature, and perform at the number of extra concerts and engagements throughout the year.
The Symphonic Orchestra is for students ages 13 to 20. Though the majority of students fit into these age groups, upon request, exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Board, in consultation with the conductors.
The Symphonic Orchestra rehearses from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, 1111 N. Orange Avenue, Orlando, FL 32804. Members enter through the Orlando Opera entrance, and meet in the Great Hall.
