The Symphonic Orchestra is for students ages 13 to 20. Though the majority of students fit into these age groups, upon request, exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Board, in consultation with the conductors.

The Symphonic Orchestra rehearses from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, 1111 N. Orange Avenue, Orlando, FL 32804. Members enter through the Orlando Opera entrance, and meet in the Great Hall.

No qualifying student will be turned away from the FSYO because of an inability to pay tuition. The FSYO fundraises to provide tuition payment financial aid for musicians whose families demonstrate need. Financial aid is not available for the Audition Fee, concert tickets or uniform cost. Please contact the FSYO office to request a Financial Aid Application.
