Exciting news! FSYO has been awarded a 2026 Catalyst Grant through Capacity Building: Central Florida to support FSYO's premiere in the Dr. Phillips' Center for the Performing Arts!
During FSYO's Platinum Season, celebrating 70 years of musical excellence, FSYO members will have the opportunity to perform on world class stages that reflect the artistry, dedication, and passion they bring to music every day. Following a two-year capacity building and strategic planning initiative, FSYO is one of five organizations selected to receive this $25,000 grant from the DeVos Family Foundation to support the launch of new programmatic or operational initiatives identified through our strategic plans.

ABOUT FSYO: Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras empowers young musicians to achieve excellence and inspire their communities through a shared love of music. In its 70th Concert Season, FSYO serves over 300 students and comprises eight ensembles - three symphony orchestras, two string orchestras, two jazz bands, and a percussion ensemble.
FSYO programs are carefully structured to encourage student growth with FSYO throughout their primary and secondary years. Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras’ full range of ensembles gives each student a place to excel with peers at a similar level and an opportunity to collaborate with seasoned music professionals on local, national, and international levels. During the summer, tour ensemble members participate in life-changing experiences of organized tours every other year.
