Donations to the 2025 Japan Tour Make
2x the Difference in January!
This summer, 50 students of Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras (FSYO) will have the experience of a lifetime as they spend 12 days exploring six cities throughout Japan. FSYO’s annual Summer Tour Program is an educational tradition that provides students the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in a new, cultural experience.
Students will have the chance to perform side-by-side concerts with students from the Gifu University Orchestra, Hiroshima Youth Orchestra, and Urayasu Youth Orchestra. They will meet the professional musicians of the Tokyo Symphony and experience a performance. And our Tour Jazz Band will have the incredible opportunity to represent America in the World Expo 2025 in Osaka!
This transformative opportunity can come to life for students in need, but only with your support.
In order to uphold FSYO’s commitment to make this tour possible for any member regardless of socioeconomic background, we set a goal to raise $40,000 to provide scholarships to support those who would be unable to benefit from this experience otherwise. Thanks to a $10,000 grant kindly gifted to FSYO by The Cross Foundation, Inc. for tour scholarships, $30,000 remains to achieve our goal.
Long-time FSYO donors Val and Paul Collins have generously pledged to match all tour scholarship gifts received by January 31, 2025 $1 for $1 up to $15,000 to help us reach our goal!
You can join them in recognizing the extraordinary efforts of these students with a donation today!
