Executive Director
(She/Her)
Abigail Tran (Abby) has a long standing relationship with FSYO, and she has experienced the benefits of the organization first hand. She was first introduced to FSYO during the 2000’s when she joined the community as a member of Overture Strings. Over the next 10 seasons, she grew within the program and became an Alum upon graduating high school. During her time in college, Abby remained connected to FSYO by volunteering at concerts and even performing with and chaperoning the tour orchestra for the Europe, Carnegie Hall, and China Tours. Since graduating from undergrad, Abby has explored other roles within FSYO such as Operations Coordinator, Board Member, Development & Marketing Manager, Interim Executive Director, and now Executive Director.
Abby graduated Cum Laude from Stetson University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, and Sales along with a Minor in Music. With ties to the local music scene, Abby has been surrounded by and brought up in the music realm her entire life. She began violin at the young age of three but soon after decided viola was the instrument for her. Since her early beginnings, music has remained an integral aspect of Abby's life, and although her degree is in business, Abby remained committed to music throughout her college experience. Some of her fondest memories were created while connecting with others through music.
Having worked in multiple capacities where she collaborated to provide quality customer service, created and led new initiatives, and executed year-long projects, Abby has a drive to continuously improve. As Executive Director, she aspires to revitalize the organization while cultivating an environment of donor centric philanthropy to ensure the new generation of FSYO students and families reap the benefits of FSYO. Since Abby has experienced the power of music herself, she understands music is a positive tool that inspires and changes lives, and she knows FSYO will continue enhancing the Central Florida community.
