Orlando, FL - July 30, 2025 - Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras in collaboration with Florida State University College of Music and Frost School of Music at the University of Miami is pleased to host the Annual Florida Music College Fair. The 2025 fair will take place on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 6:00 - 9:00pm at the Orlando Science Center.
New this year, there will be a Pre-Fair Admissions Panel from 6:00 - 7:00pm located in the Digital Adventure Theater inside the Orlando Science Center. This panel will feature admissions representatives selected by the Florida Music College Fair Committee who will discuss the general admissions process as well as what to expect for your college auditions. This session will be a great opportunity to ask questions and learn more about what to expect as you prepare for a career in the arts!
Following the panel, students will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from over 50 of the nation's top music and performing arts institutions. This is a great time to research different institutions that you are interested in and ask your specific questions. Representatives will be available to discuss Admissions, Auditions, Financial Aid, Student Life, and so much more!
All Central Florida music students (band, orchestra, and choir) are encouraged to attend this FREE event. FSYO Executive Director, Abigail Tran, notes, “As an oldest child, I had to figure out the college application process on my own, and I was even more lost when adding the music audition process into the mix. Florida Music College Fair (FMCF) exists to help make the music admissions process less intimidating for students and families, and it provides an experience to learn about the many options and talk with the admissions recruiters face to face. Regardless if you are applying for undergraduate or graduate programs, I highly encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to meet these recruiters in person because your name becomes a face in the admissions process!”
Admission to the college fair is free, however, students are encouraged to register for the event by completing the form at the bottom of this page. For more information please contact FSYO at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
