FSYO Partners With WKMG Local 6 for Holiday Concert December 8
ORLANDO, FL– (Nov. 20, 2012) - The Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra will once again collaborate with WMKG Local 6 and the City of Orlando to present the third annual WKMG Local 6 Holiday Concert on Saturday, December 8, featuring the FSYO and benefiting the Salvation Army's Angel Tree Network. In 2011, attendees contributed $600 in Salvation Army Red Kettle donations and 160 gifts for children in need.
Hosted by WKMG Local 6 talent, and featuring FSYO’s award winning youth orchestras, this concert will echo the sounds of the season, and feature a visit from a very special ho-ho-holiday guest. This concert is free to the public, and begins at 3 p.m. at the Walt Disney Amphitheater at Lake Eola, 195 N Rosalind Avenue, Downtown Orlando.
“We here at WKMG Local 6 are very proud to be able to put on this wonderful holiday annual event for our community. Everyone who attends will be entertained by our incredible Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra, and have the opportunity to make Christmas a little brighter for our local children in need by donating to the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program. This is important to us as our neighborhoods, families and communities are at the center of what we do at Local 6. We hope this year’s event will be bigger and better than the last and we commend all those involved in helping to make it just that.” says WKMG Local 6.
Admission is free, but a donation to the Salvation Army is suggested.
