Orlando, FL - February 13, 2026 Spring is a busy season for Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras (FSYO) as it enters the second half of its 69th Season with a full slate of concerts and community events across Central Florida.
One highlight takes place on Saturday, February 21, where an FSYO Jazz Combo will perform at WUCF’s Be My Neighbor Day at Loch Haven Park. This free, family-friendly event celebrates kindness, community, and the values of PBS Kids icons like Daniel Tiger and Mister Rogers. This marks FSYO’s first year participating, offering live music from its members and giving families a chance to engage directly with FSYO through on-site activities and information.
This partnership highlights FSYO’s commitment to “empowering its members to achieve musical excellence and inspire their communities through a shared love of music.”

It is a team-based celebration of music, outreach, and youth leadership that brings together FSYO’s entire organization, from student musicians and conductors to board members and administrative staff.
Unlike traditional fundraisers, Play-a-thon is team-based, each ensemble and department fundraises collaboratively, building camaraderie while fostering a spirit of friendly competition. The in person event will feature food trucks and a silent auction with exciting community-donated prizes, making it a festive and interactive experience for families and supporters of all ages.
The fundraising period culminates in an outdoor concert on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Lake Eola’s Walt Disney Amphitheater, where all eight FSYO ensembles will perform a free concert for the public.
